Grossgundertshausen is a small, quiet village with a population of around 400 in the Hallertau near the border of Kehlhein and Freising in Niederbayern.
The Hallertau, or Holledau as it is known locally, is one of the last "undiscovered" parts of Germany. The almost untrodden paths meander over rolling hills, through shady woods and fields of sunflowers, wheat and maize and pass by impressive gardens of hops.
The website of the Stadler-Hof is here.
